WEBINAR:  Digital Minds in the London Insurance Market – EDII Presentation to LIIBA Members: “The Evolution of Digital Minds” – 12-1pm Monday 7^th June 2021

Hosted by LIIBA CEO Christopher Croft, we will be joined by EDII CEO, Caroline Bedford, who will present the evolution of the Digital Minds immersive innovation programme and the ways that being a truly innovative organisation can dramatically improve employee engagement, diversity & inclusion and operational success.

Through Digital Minds, London Insurance Market brokers and insurers have had the opportunity to embed their staff in a culture of cross-market corporate innovation.  Digital Minds teaches methods, tools and techniques that enables skilled insurance experts, whether new to the market or decades in, to work with their market peers to embrace change and bring ideas to life. The programme also helps their organisations address important issues around ESG, Diversity & Inclusion and up-skilling for future focus.

This unique cross-market programme is accessible to all brokers, irrespective of size. During the presentation, Caroline will introduce some past delegates who will share what they learned from the programme, and why innovation means so much more than technology.

LIIBA Snippet – “FCA Fraudulent Claims”

As part of our series of LIIBA Snippets, Grant Thornton will be presenting on FCA Fraudulent Claims.  The session will be a 20-minute presentation with the opportunity for a 10 min Q&A at the end.

The session will include discussion of some case studies that will set the vulnerabilities (and the operating controls) in context. This will include consideration of:

• Payment approval/escalation mechanisms
• Payment Processing, Training and Quality Assurance
• Payment Policy and risk appetite (speed of processing vs enhanced security, a trade off?)
• Cyber Security and oversight of the firms perimeter/threat surface”
