You don’t need communications professionals to communicate well

LIIBA & Luther Pendragon Webinar – Wednesday 3rd March 10.15am – 11.15am.

Communication is central to the success of any insurance broker — raising awareness of your services, highlighting your specialisms, showcasing the quality of your people. And with lockdown reducing the amount of face-to-face contact that’s possible, getting your message across in other ways is even more important. So, how do you communicate all these things without a team of comms professionals?

Luther Pendragon is LIIBA’s communication agency. In this webinar, Luther’s Caroline Wagstaff and Adrian Beeby will show you how to get noticed by the media and make social media like LinkedIn work for you.

If you’d like to get the most out of all the free communication opportunities available to you, this webinar is a must.

LIIBA WEBINAR – Key people issues for insurance brokers in 2021: COVID-19 Vaccines and Restrictive Covenants in the Remote Workplace – Tuesday 23rd February 2021, 9.15-10.45am

On Tuesday 23rd February 2021, we present a webinar hosted by law firm Morgan Lewis.  It will outline potential challenges and best practices for employers in the insurance sector seeking to manage the disruption caused to their businesses by the global pandemic and the advent of remote working. The panel will consider legal issues and best practices surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine and the extent to which employers can make the vaccine mandatory. The panel will also consider the Government’s current consultation on the possibility of prohibiting non-competition clauses or requiring the payment of mandatory compensation.

Topics will include:

  • How far employers can and should go to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine for UK employees.
  • Practical steps that can be taken to incentivise workers to be vaccinated.
  • Key pitfalls regarding vaccines and data protection in the workforce.
  • Protecting confidential information and trade secrets in the era of more flexible working.
  • The impact of increased global (virtual) mobility on restrictive covenants.
  • The impact of remote working on policing, enforcing and drafting restrictive covenants.
  • How the changing workplace culture may impact employee behaviour and competition.
  • Regulatory implications when dealing with team moves and practical tips for employers.
  • The Government’s consultation on prohibiting non-competition clauses or requiring the payment of mandatory compensation. What would be the impact on insurance intermediaries? Would this stimulate greater innovation and competition or would it leave insurance brokers without adequate protection? Are there any lessons from employers in California that insurance brokers here in the UK can follow?

Thank you for registering to attend the Lloyd’s Delegated Authority webinar for LIIBA members on Thursday 4 February. We have decided to postpone this webinar to address some specific areas of feedback. We are working on developing more functional demonstrations of the solution to ensure all broking firms understand the benefits and the practical steps that will need to be taken to adopt the solution. A new invitation will follow to those who registered for this webinar.

Kind Regards,
